Glossary
To make sure that there is no confusion when we refer to parts of the API, we define key terms here.
AutoStore
Refers to physical warehouse hardware setup that consists of grid, robots, ports, bins and controller. AutoStore is Pio’s parent company.
Pio
Refers to app that is used on iPad that lets warehouse workers to pick, store and inspect physical goods that are stored in a cube-based Pio grid and sometimes also on shelves (oversized products).
Integration
Integration refers to software, service, tool, adapter, etc. anyone can build using data made available via Pio API. For example, one can build software that integrates eCommerce shop to Pio by syncing products, orders, etc. with Pio using Pio API product and orders endpoints.
Organization
Organization refers to company who has a Pio grid connected with Pio application.
Product
Product refers to single physical good or entity that is stored or will be stored in Pio grid or shelf.
Pio system and API also supports kits which is collection of products defined above
Every product for an organization needs to have an unique SKU
Order
Refers to order in conventional sense which is collection of orderlines which defines product and quantity requested.
Shop
Refers to platform which hosts products and accepts orders. One organization can have multiple shops.
Product can be shared between shops in an organization
